Dr. Chantal Fahmy is an assistant professor of criminology and criminal justice at the University of Texas at San Antonio. Her research interests include prisoner reentry, institutional corrections, social support, public health, and deviant subcultures.

Dr. Jesenia Pizarro is a professor in the School of Criminology & Criminal Justice at Arizona State University. Her research is transdisciplinary in nature and focuses on the proximal event and situational factors that result in violence, the processing of violent crime in the criminal justice system, and antiviolence strategies.

Dr. John Laub is a distinguished university professor emeritus in the Department of Criminology and Criminal Justice at the University of Maryland, College Park. Dr. Laub’s areas of research include crime and the life course, crime and public policy, and the history of criminology.

Dr. Brandon del Pozo is an assistant professor of medicine and health services, policy, and practice at Brown University, where he conducts NIH-funded research at the intersection of public health, public safety, and justice, focusing on substance use, the overdose crisis, and violence.

Dr. Shannon Linning is an assistant professor of criminology at Simon Fraser University. Her research interests include environmental criminology, crime and place, crime prevention, crime science, place management, urban redevelopment, and community criminology.

Dr. Starr Solomon is an assistant professor of sociology and criminology at Kent State University. She earned her PhD from the University of Nebraska Omaha School of Criminology and Criminal Justice in 2018.

Dr. Sadé Lindsay is an assistant research professor of public policy and sociology at Cornell University and a W.E.B. Du Bois Fellow of the National Institute of Justice. Her research interests lie at the intersection of criminal justice policy, punishment, and racial inequality.

Dr. Daniel Mears is a distinguished research professor and Mark C. Stafford Professor of Criminology at Florida State University. His current research examines crime causation and criminal and juvenile justice.

Dr. David Schaefer is a Professor in the Department of Sociology at the University of California Irvine. His research is centered on social networks, with emphases on health, adolescence, and delinquent populations.

Dr. David Pyrooz is Associate Professor of Sociology at the University of Colorado Boulder. He is also a faculty associate in the Problem Behavior and Positive Youth Development Program in the Institute of Behavioral Science.

Dr. Jason Williams is an Associate Professor of Justice Studies at Montclair State University. Aside from doing research for the academic audience, Dr. Williams is also involved in many public research and information forums, such as The Hampton Institution where he serves as chair of the criminal justice department.

Dr. Danielle Slakoff is an Assistant Professor of Criminal Justice at Sacramento State University. Her research is focused on the media portrayal of women and girls as victims of crime, with a particular focus on how race/ethnicity may impact these portrayals.
