Dr. Jesenia Pizarro is a professor in the School of Criminology & Criminal Justice at Arizona State University. Her research is transdisciplinary in nature and focuses on the proximal event and situational factors that result in violence, the processing of violent crime in the criminal justice system, and antiviolence strategies. Her research also explores correctional practices in the United States.
